Justin Manning still up in the air

Five star defensive tackle Justin Manning was thought to be down to TCU, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma, but there are two other schools that Manning now says are still in the running.

Five star defensive tackle Justin Manning is one of the most explosive lineman in the class of 2013, and thus, has been coveted by the likes of TCU, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma all summer.

However, Manning said Wednesday that he is not ready to eliminate the USC Trojans or LSU Tigers from his list just yet.

The addition of LSU and USC comes after Manning said earlier in the summer that he had only been hearing regularly from three schools, but he said both the Trojan and Tiger coaching staffs have been keeping in close contact recently.

"LSU and USC. I feel good about them, and I want to take my official visits," Manning said. Manning said he would like to visit TCU, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, USC, and LSU.

When asked what kind of relationships Manning feels like he is forming with the coaching staffs he said, "USC [is improving] a little bit more."

Manning noted that he still keeps in close contact with all five schools.

"At TCU, I talk to Coach Jennings every now and again. A&M, I haven't talked to them that much lately..." Manning continued. "At TCU, I talk to Coach Jennings and the head coach."

Manning said, "I talk to some of the other recruits [at the schools] a lot too like the running back at TCU, the big d-tackle down at A&M, and Bryson Burnett. He's in the 2012 class at TCU, but I talk to him a lot."

"There's just a lot of players I talk with."

As for a signing date, Manning had tentative plans earlier in the summer to commit on his homecoming, but he wants to make sure he has time to take all his official visits.

"I don't know right now because the homecoming game is like a little bit before the middle of the season," Manning said. "And I want to take all my visits."
