Cannon Has Invite to TCU-KSU game

Mount Pleasant, Texas 2014 receiver Kd Cannon is destroying the opposition this season.

Mount Pleasant wide receiver Kd Cannon is one of the most sought after prospects for the 2014 class. Rated as the nation's No. 5 wide receiver prospect and No. 37 overall, Cannon is definitely making his case to be regarded as a top player with his 2012 season.

"It's going great so far," Cannon said. "I got about 80 catches, 1,300 yards and 25 total touchdowns."

Cannon holds offers from Baylor, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, West Virginia and TCU. The Horned Frogs have invited Cannon up to their game this Saturday as they host #2 Kansas State. Unfortunately, Cannon doesn't think he'll be able to attend.

"I have an invite but I don't know if I'm going to make it because my uncle's funeral is also on Saturday," Cannon said.

Surprisingly recruiting has stayed the same according to Cannon who says he hasn't received an offer recently. He recently made the drive north to Norman to watch the Sooners.

"I went to watch Oklahoma play Notre Dame, it was a great atmosphere," he said.

Cannon said he watched TCU's big win over West Virginia last weekend and called it a big win for the program.

"It was a big win for them, a real big win," he said. "I watched a little bit of it."

As for the two-point conversion, Cannon said it was a gutsy call by TCU and admits he was surprised to see the Frogs go for two.

"Ha, I don't know what happened, it was a great call though," he finished.
