The Cowboys totaled 373 yards in the game while holding the Cardinals to 260. Coppell wide receiver Cameron Smith spoke afterwards about his team's Bi-District championship.
"Coming into it 10-0 everyone just wants to know if you've had an easy schedule and if you'll be 10-1 immediately and I feel like today that we came out and proved that we have what it takes to go all the way," Smith said.
Coppell had 165 yards through the air and Smith had a majority of that total. In all Smith hauled in 7 catches for 131 yards to help the Cowboys keep a balanced attack.
"I always want to do more than I have done so I just look at it as a way to improve," he said. "I am thankful for everything I got in the game."
Smith, who reportedly grew 4-inches since last season currently holds two offers on the table from North Texas and Illinois. Others such as TCU, Memphis, Houston and Texas Tech are showing strong interest. TCU has attended one of his games.
"Early on in the season they came to one of my games and they haven't showed a whole lot lately but I know they are looking at me," he said. "I haven't talked to one of their coaches yet."
Smith remains open to every program that shows him interest.
"I have an interest in every single school that will give me the opportunity to play so I do have an interest," he said.
