Hubenak continues to get interest from TCU

As TCU continues to evaluate quarterbacks, Georgetown, Texas signal caller Jake Hubenak is one to keep an eye on.

Georgetown, Texas quarterback Jake Hubenak has helped the Bulldogs to a 12-0 record and to the third round of the Texas Class 4A Division I playoffs.

Hubenak has made his opponents look downright defenseless this season throwing for over 2,600 yards with 41 touchdowns to just 4 interceptions.

Hubenak only played in three games in 2011 so his emergence in 2012 has definitely landed him on college programs radars; one being TCU. The Horned Frogs initially spoke with the 6-foot-3, 185-pounder a few weeks ago and they remain in contact.

In fact, the rising signal caller and TCU spoke just days ago.

"I'm still staying in contact with them," Hubenak said. "They just want me to be patient and play the season out. I'm pretty sure I'm the only guy left in the playoffs that they're looking at so I think that's to my advantage."

A pair of coaches are responsible for recruiting Hubenak from TCU.

"Coach Glasgow talks to my head coach and I talk to Coach Haverty," he said.

UTSA and Texas State are two other programs who continue to show Hubenak interest.
