"It's been going good" said Rogers. "I've received interest from a couple more schools lately so it's been good."
Although Rogers has yet to reel in an offer from a D-1 school, he's hoping that someone will see his film and reach out to him.
"San Angelo State and Lindenwood University in Missouri are the two most recent" he said. "I talked to a coach from Southwestern and I kind of like them but they're a Division III school; I like them, San Angelo and the school in Missouri but I'm still just looking around."
While it's getting late in the game for Rogers to land a D-1 scholarship, the chance is still there. He's hoping that something will pay off from the hard work he's put in and the fact that his coach sent out so many copies of his senior highlight film.
"My coach sent out my film to about 150 schools but I'm not sure specifically which ones" he said. "I haven't heard from TCU lately or any other D-1 schools in Texas but I hope to."
"I'm just looking for a school with good tradition, good coaches and a place that wants to give me a chance."
A versatile athlete, Rogers has the frame to play any number of positions and his ability to play safety, corner, receiver or quarterback, makes him a valuable player.
