Randall discusses new interest from TCU

Mesa (AZ) Community College cornerback Damarious Randall will visit TCU in January.

Mesa (AZ) Community College cornerback Damarious Randall re-opened his recruitment Tuesday evening after being committed to Arizona State since late October. The 6-foot, 185-pounder has seen more teams come into the picture and among those programs showing increased interest is TCU.

The interest from the Horned Frogs came as a surprise for Randall considering up until just days ago, he hadn't heard for the Texas school.

"I just got a call from TCU a few days ago saying they interested in me because they just saw my film," he said. "I hadn't heard anything from them before then. I talked to the head coach a few days ago. He was saying he was looking for a guy that can cover and play corner and even a guy that can play a little safety. He was looking at my film and he said I could do all of that. He said they were real interested me."

Randall knows little of TCU at the moment, but he does remember them for playing in two consecutive BCS games; the Fiesta Bowl and Rose Bowl.

"I know they played Boise in a BCS game a few years ago and I remember all the Horned Frog fans throwing up the Horned Frogs sign up on the T.V.," he said.

The JUCO All-American is back home in his native Florida for the holidays to spend time with his family. Next month he'll begin to take official visits to Louisville, Florida State and TCU. He hasn't set an exact date for each visit just yet.

"I haven't set an exact date because I think they're getting my transcripts now but I think it will be sometime in January," he said.

As a May graduate, Randall says playing time will be the biggest factor with his decision.
