"Oh I'm feeling good, I've been healthy for a while now" said Henderson referring to his early season back injury. "I got to play in the last game of the season and I felt good."
Currently standing 6'6" and weighing 240 pounds, there had been talk previously of bulking Henderson up and moving him inside as a defensive tackle. After talking with TCU coaches, Henderson says the staff feels he's too quick to not play on the outside as a defensive end.
"They told me D-end" said Henderson. "They said I'm too quick to be a D-tackle and they want me to line up at defensive end on the left side."
Obviously, the left side would be the opposite side of the line from Devonte Fields and Henderson says he looks forward to playing alongside the budding superstar.
"He's a great player and I can't wait to be on the team with him and all those other guys" he said. "He's a great athlete, I'll say that, I haven't ever seen a freshman like that."
"But I'll have to surprise ya'll when I get there" said Henderson laughing.
When he committed to TCU back in June, he talked about being 100% solid to TCU and now, six months down the line and nearing signing day, Henderson says he's still not listening to any other program's sales pitch.
"I already made my mind up once and I'm not changing my mind" he said. "Because of that, not too many people have been trying to talk to me."
With Signing Day just around the corner, Henderson is ready to get the process over with and get on campus so he can contribute. He says he has high hopes for him and his future teammates.
"I'm coming in there with my classmates and we're going to be one of the highest rated classes to ever come through there so we're going to be really good." he said. "With all the experience that the freshmen got this year, and with our class coming in, I think we'll be top 10 in the nation every year; and we'll be winning the Big 12."
The good news for TCU fans is that Henderson is healthy. The better news is that he sounds like he's ready to get to Ft. Worth and help continue the Horned Frog's tradition of excellence.
