TCU Hires Luper

Gary Patterson had an opening at wide receivers' coach and linebackers' coach.

TCU has hired former Auburn runningbacks coach Curtis Luper to the staff according to sources. It is expected that Luper will coach runningbacks and current TCU runningback coach Jarrett Anderson will again coach receivers, which he's done for most of his twelve years as a coach at the school.

Luper is a native of Sherman, Texas, who attended Stephen F. Austin University.

After spending four seasons as the running backs coach at Oklahoma State University, Luper was hired as the running backs coach and recruiting coordinator for Auburn University under Gene Chizik.

Luper won his first national championship as a coach with Auburn in 2011.

The 46 year-old Luper's coaching career began when he worked as a graduate assistant at his alma mater Stephen F. Austin.

Luper's recruiting experience and Texas roots will be a good asset to the Frogs both on the field and on the recruiting trail.
