Clark has great size as a defensive end. He officially measured in at 6-foot-3, 235-pounds at the Next Level Athlete Texas Top 100 camp last Sunday. It didn't take long for him to make an impression in one-on-one's as one of the quickest, if not the quickest defensive ends in attendance.
"It's my specialty, I work on it all the time," Clark said. "My speed and hands is what I'm good at but I still have to work on it and some other stuff too."
Although he still awaits his first offer, Clark is getting plenty of interest early on.
"I'm hearing from OU, Oklahoma State, LSU is showing me a lot of love, Texas A&M, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame and Florida State," he said. "I'd like to hear from some more schools. Alabama sends me a few letters in the mail but not too much."
Clark has junior day invites from LSU, SMU, Baylor and UTSA. He plans to attend the Baylor junior day and will attend LSU's on February 16th. As for favorite, Clark is listening to all suitors, but a few schools to stand out above the others.
"I'm listening to everyone but as far as schools I like I went to OU and A&M and OU have always had a special place in my heart because my mom is from Oklahoma. Growing up, Oklahoma was where it was at," he said. "But, I went to an A&M game and I loved it. It was crazy and so much fun and then I went to the LSU-Alabama game and that was wild too. I wasn't even considering A&M until I saw their game."
TCU was another program that showed early interest in Clark. He attended a Frogs' mini-camp last summer and was one of the more athletic players in attendance. However, Clark says he hasn't heard much from them lately but would like that to change.
"I really haven't heard anything from them; they sent me something in the mail the other day but other than that I really haven't heard anything," he said. "I'd like to hear more from TCU."
