2014 Pledge "Still Tight" With TCU

TCU locked up Emmanuel Porter with an early offer and now the 6'5" wide receiver will be in Fort Worth this coming weekend for a junior day visit.

Emmanuel Porter was the first player to commit to TCU for the class of 2014 but that hasn't stopped other schools from trying to sway the 6'5" receiver. HornedFrogBlitz.com caught up with Porter to get the scoop on which programs are still chasing him.

"I'm still getting interest from some other schools" said Porter. "I haven't really thought about if I'll go to any other junior days yet but UT-San Antonio, Washington State and Oklahoma State have invited me."

With a huge frame to build on, Porter is the prototypical, big-bodied, outside receiver. After playing the 2012 season at 185 pounds, the talented receiver (now 190 pounds) says he wants to play at 205 to 210 pounds in 2013. At 6'5" with 4.4 speed, there's no doubt that TCU fans will have to deal with other programs chasing the Dallas Lincoln deep threat all the way up until signing day 2014. That comes with the territory when a player commits early but Porter is saying all the right things at the moment.

"Oregon may be about to offer but I'm not sure about others right now" he said. "I'm still committed to TCU though and I still consider it to be tight with them."

"I'll most likely end up going there."

With a big recruiting weekend ahead, TCU also plans to host a handful of local, elite 2014 prospects for a junior day of sorts. Porter says he plans on attending the event in Ft. Worth this Sunday.

"I'll be attending this Sunday" said Porter. "I'm looking forward to it."

Although Porter isn't a young man of many words, his game speaks for itself. He can expect a truck load of offers to be dumped into his lap in the coming months and then the fun begins. TCU will have to weather the storm as they try to hold on to their playmaking receiver. Stay logged on to HornedFrogBlitz.com to follow Porter's recruitment throughout the process.
