2014 Recruiting Board

TCU just finished out their 2013 less than a week ago but it's already time to take a look at some of the 2014 targets.

With TCU's 2013 class complete, it's time to get a closer look at the class of 2014 prospects. The Frogs already have two 2014 commitments in the fold and have offered several top playmakers across the country.

IMPORTANT: This is not the official recruiting board for TCU. It's a list of prospects formed by HornedFrogBlitz.com to give the Frog fans an idea of who the staff may be pursuing.

The following chart lists each position and the number of prospects we feel the Frogs will target at that particular position. Each position lists players who have received offers first, then the rest of players at each position in no particular order.

QUARTERBACK - 1 or 2
TCU signed only 1 QB in 2012 and 2013 so the Frogs could take two in 2014. The Frogs have not offered a 2014 signal caller yet.

RUNNINGBACK - 2
TCU signed two runningbacks as part of their 2013 class. With that, the Frogs would like to add another big back to the fold and possibly another all-purpose back.

RECEIVER - 2
The Frogs lost Skye Dawson to graduation and Josh Boyce to the draft but the addition of Ty Slanina and Cameron Echols-Luper helped soften the loss. Still, the Frogs already have one commit in 2014 and will likely add 1 to 2 more.

TIGHT END - 1
TCU took tight ends in 2013 after losing two to graduation. The 2014 class could have none or just one.

OFFENSIVE LINE - 4
Every year the Frogs look to add at least 3-4 lineman. The Frogs offered three early on but lost Demetrius Knox to Texas.

DEFENSIVE LINE – 3 or 4
The Frogs lost out on some big names late in the 2013 recruiting cycle and Bryson Henderson is questionable. Expect the Frogs to take 3 to 4 d-linemen for the 2014 class.

LINEBACKERS - 1 or 2
Frogs are young at linebacker and added three from the 2013 class but that won't stop them from pursuing a couple of linebackers from the 2014 class.

DEFENSIVE BACKS - 4
TCU already has one defensive back in the fold for the 2014 class. But, expect Patterson and Co. to load up at safety after taking only 1 in 2013.

KICKER/PUNTER - 0
Jaden Oberkrom and Ethan Perry will be headed into their junior year by the time a 2014 prospect would arrive on camps. For that reason, TCU likely won't be shaking the bushes for a kicker or punter until the 2015 class. But, one prospect sticks out.
