Vickers Talks TCU Interest

TCU has extended an offer to the 6'0" 205 pound running back. Will he make a visit to Ft. Worth to visit the Horned Frogs?

TCU has made a living recruiting the talent rich state of Texas. With nearly 400 prospects signing with Division-1 schools every year from the Lone Star State, it should come as no surprise that the Horned Frogs need not venture too far from the fertile borders. Having said that, TCU has started making a name for themselves in both Louisiana and Florida in the last few years.

The Frogs are hoping that their recruiting efforts will start to pay off in the Sunshine State and they're hoping they start with North Florida Christian's Johnathan Vickers.

The 6'0" 205 pound running back spoke with HornedFrogBlitz.com tonight and it looks like TCU has a legitimate shot at landing the talented runner.

"The recruiting process is going pretty good and I just added two or three more offers so it's going good" said Vickers. "I have about 9 or 10 offers right now."

Already holding offers from programs such as Alabama, Clemson, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, TCU, California, Louisville and others, Vickers is likely to pull in over 20 offers during the 2014 recruiting cycle.

"Cal, TCU and NC State are the newest offers" said Vickers. "They're the last 3 schools to offer me."

So with so many offers on the table and more sure to come, is TCU a school that Vickers has a legitimate interest in?

"Oh yes sir, I'm definitely considering TCU" he said. "They're a great program and I've heard a lot of good things about them so I'm interested in them."

Although it's early in the process for the class of 2014, it's never too early to start planning visits. Are the Frogs in line for a visit?

"I'm probably going to come up there sometime in the spring or in the summer" said Vickers. "I'm definitely going to come up there and take a visit."

With new offers coming in all the time, Vickers says it's too early to name any favorites and says he wants to look at all the schools that are offering him before he makes a decision.

"Everyone is the same right now" he said. "I don't have a top five or anything like that but if I did, TCU would be in there."

While Vickers isn't naming favorites, it looks like TCU is in good shape and a visit to Ft. Worth could impress the talented running back in a big way. Will the Florida star visit Ft. Worth? Stay logged on to HornedFrogBlitz.com to get the latest information on Vickers.
