"It was great, I really loved it" said Villalobos. "I really loved the campus, the coaches and the facilities; really just everything about it."
Villalobos is a player that's in demand and he currently holds an offer from SMU. With his visit to TCU, he was hoping to haul in a Horned Frog offer. Although the offer didn't come, the aggressive lineman wasn't discouraged.
Coming in at 6'1"and 240 pounds, Villalobos said the staff wanted to see if he could gain weight but said no matter what, they are recruiting him as a defensive lineman. The Fossil Ridge product stated that the TCU staff said he could play either DE or DT and that they planned on looking at him more in a camp environment over the summer. So, did the visit make a positive impression on Villalobos?
"They made a big impression on me and the thing that stood out to me was the coaching staff" he said. "I knew they were good coaches and that Coach P was a great coach but I didn't realize how long they had been together as a staff and how much experience they had."
"They have coaches that coached in the NFL and coaches that have like 16 or 17 years of coaching experience" he said. "They also have athletes that are in the NFL, and athletes that are in the Hall of Fame and they've all coached players that have been very successful in football."
With the one offer on hand from SMU, Villalobos says he's hoping to make an impression on other schools as he navigates through the recruiting process.
"I had a lot of fun and I'm very interested in TCU but I want to keep working hard so that I can get the attention of more teams."
Although Villalobos came in shorter and lighter than his profile suggested (6'3" 250), he plans on working as hard as he can to impress every staff he performs in front of.
