TCU Pro Day

Seven Frogs off last season's 7-6 team worked out in front of NFL scouts on Thursday.

TCU held their annual pro day on Thursday with eight players off last year's team working out for NFL scouts.

Receiver Skye Dawson recorded the fastest time of the day with a 4.39. Dawson also recorded a 35.5-inch vertical on the day.

Offensive lineman Blaize Foltz benched 225-pounds 33 times and ran a 5.33 forty. He also had a vertical jump of 35.5-inches.

Matthew Tucker continued his strong performance from the combine, running a 4.55 forty and matching Dawson with a 35.5-inch vertical himself. Tucker also displayed good route running ability and caught nearly every pass thrown from former Frog and current Cincinnati Bengal quarterback Andy Dalton.

A lot of eyes were on defensive end Stansly Maponga throughout the day. Maponga only lifted at the Combine but was able to do running drills at TCU on Thursday. Maponga's best forty time was a 4.84 and he also recorded a 29.5-inch vertical. Maponga worked out as an outside linebacker and showed struggles of lateral movement and a consistent ability to catch the ball.

Tight end Corey Fuller was a pleasant surprise at the pro day. He jumped 34.5-inches on the vertical but his route running and ability to catch the football was what really stood out.

Kenny Cain jumped 26-inches in the vertical. He also dropped some passes in the linebacker drills.

Jeremy Coleman had a vertical leap of 26-inches.

Former Frogs Antoine Hicks, Jeff Olson, Jonathan Jones and Ed Wesley worked out for NFL scouts.
