"The recruiting process is going real good" said Barrett. "I mean, it's very, very interesting and sometimes it gets a little overwhelming, but it's a good overwhelming."
With 16 offers now on the table, Barrett feels very fortunate to have so many options available to him.
At 6'4" and 305 pounds, the versatile Barrett is an intriguing prospect. Able to line up anywhere on the offensive line, his ability to play multiple positions makes him an attractive player.
With the Horned Frogs looking for offensive line help, Barrett knows that he could be a key piece of the puzzle in Ft. Worth if he were to choose TCU.
"I'm still interested in TCU and I'm going to visit there this weekend" said the big lineman. "I'm really ready to see the coaching staff because I've heard nothing but great things about the program."
"I'm just ready to see the campus because this is going to be my first time going up to TCU."
With so many programs chasing the Skyline star, TCU knows they'll have to make a favorable impression on Barrett. He says he hopes to get a good feel for what TCU is all about on his visit.
"My dad is actually going with me" he said. "They (parents) want me to make the best decision for me; they really don't care if I'm close to home or not, either way, they'll be able to get wherever I'm performing."
Ranked as the #23 OT by Scout.com, the four-star Barrett will get tons of attention in Ft. Worth this weekend. Stay logged on to HornedFrogBlitz.com so that you don't miss our follow up interview with Barrett after his visit this Saturday.
