Green Impressed With TCU

Cedar Hill, Texas four-star cornerback Marcus Green visited TCU on Friday.

TCU hosted four visitors at their morning scrimmage on Friday and among those prospects in attendance was one of the nation's top players at his position; Cedar Hill cornerback Marcus Green.

Rated as a four-star and the nation's No. 33 ranked cornerback by FOXSportsNEXT, Green has started to receive recent interest from the Frogs. Green currently holds two offers on the table from Ole Miss and Missouri and has received interest from several others.

Green made the short drive to Ft. Worth along with rising 2015 teammate, DaMarkus Lodge, and came away very impressed with his time on campus.

"I liked all of the facilities, we went into the football stadium and saw the suites and all of that," he said. "I liked how it was, everything was real nice."

At 6-foot-1, 170-pounds, Green combines nice speed and physicality to make him a complete corner prospect. Being physical is a strength he feels sets him apart, and it's something he noticed quickly about the Frogs' practice.

"It was real good, everything was physical and it was amazing to see how they practice," Green said. "They're pretty similar to how we play and they're real physical and I like that."

Although he left campus without an offer, Green knows he made an impression on the staff. He says the coaches plan to see him more in the spring and an offer could be forthcoming then, if not sooner.

"They really like what they saw and Coach Luper was talking to me and asking how many offers I have and I told him just two right now," he said. "He told me to consider it three so I guess he's going to be offering me. They're really interested."

What would an offer do for Green's recruitment?

"It would be big, I'm really interested in TCU because Coach (Kenny) Perry is really cool," he said. "It would be really cool to have them on the table also."

TCU isn't a far drive from Cedar Hill but Green says proximity isn't a key factor he's considering when deciding where to go.

"I'm just looking at academics and how good a program is," Green said.

Green will participate in the Nike Camp next Sunday in Allen but before he gets to showcase his skills there, he'll visit Baylor and possibly TCU next week.

"I'm going to Baylor's spring game and I'll probably go back to TCU on Friday for their spring game," Green finished.
