Ross Visiting TCU

While the rest of TCU's 2013 signing class is preparing to enroll in June, the Horned Frogs are working feverishly behind the scenes to ink another member of that class. Navarro College DE Andre Ross is in Ft. Worth tonight and we have the latest here.

Even though Signing Day 2013 has come and gone, the TCU Horned Frogs are still in hot pursuit of one, maybe two more prospects to finalize the class. HornedFrogBlitz.com caught up with Navarro College's Andre Ross to get his thoughts on his visit to Ft. Worth today.

"I'm actually still here" said Ross. "I'm at the Mall with my host right now, Jonathan Anderson."

Ross, who TCU has been recruiting since he originally came out of high school, has seen his recruitment take off in the last few weeks. With offers in hand from TCU, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Arizona State and others, the talented defender has now narrowed his list to three schools.

In an article yesterday, Ross stated that Oklahoma had moved to the top of his list following his visit to Norman. Now, after visiting TCU, things have changed.

"TCU has always been number one for me but I didn't know that I was going to have so much fun when I went to visit OU" said Ross. "I enjoyed myself up there and they made me feel comfortable but TCU has always been at the top of my list."

"After seeing how much it has changed in the last couple of years, they're back on top for me now."

When pressed to explain how the changes have caught his attention, Ross didn't hold back.

"Man, it's so nice now" he said. "They have a new field, new facilities everywhere and they just upgraded a lot of things around here."

"It just looks so much better than I remember it looking when I was up here the last time."

While new facilities are nice, the relationship that a player develops with the coaching staff is the most important thing. Ross says he likes what he sees in the man in charge, Head Coach, Gary Patterson.

"I met Coach Patterson but I didn't think he was as cool as he was" said Ross laughing. "He's really cool and he's a funny person to be around."

"If I come to TCU, I know he's going to make me a better person, a better athlete and a better football player."

With a final three of TCU, Oklahoma and Texas Tech, Ross has a tough decision ahead. He wants to have his decision made by May 20th.

"After this visit, I'm visiting Texas Tech on Friday" he said. "I'll have my final decision made by May 20th."

With time winding down and a decision imminent, Horned Frog fans will be watching this one closely. Keep it locked here for the latest.
