The offer from the Aztecs came as a surprise to the 6-foot-3, 290-pounder; considering they hadn't communicated with him much before extending the offer.
Regardless, Lundblade was excited about his newest offer.
"It's really exciting, it was really random because it was a school I really haven't talked to," Lundblade said of San Diego State. "My coach texted me and told me to call the coach and I got the offer. It was really exciting, I know it's a good school and obviously location is pretty nice in San Diego. I was really excited about it."
With several options to choose from, Lundblade is still hoping to add even more offers. Among the programs he covets an offer from is TCU. The Horned Frogs recently picked up their interest in the talented center reaching out to him during the spring evaluation period.
Lundblade was one of nearly 100 prospects who made their way to TCU last Friday to attend a Frogs' offensive and defensive linemen camp. Just as he does at every camp he attends, Lundblade put on a dominant performance. Simply put, he was the best offensive lineman in attendance.
"I think it went really well, I felt good in all of the drills and in the testing," he said of the TCU camp. "My one-on-one's went well, I think I did good."
Whether his performance on Friday is good enough to warrant an offer from the Frogs is yet to be seen. He received positive feedback from his recruiter, Dan Sharp, while on campus. However, he understands the final decision comes from offensive line coach Eddie Williamson.
"He told me they were going to evaluate me and within the next few days I should know where I stand with them," Lundblade said of his conversation with Sharp. "He told me that he thinks I'm an offer guy, but it's really Coach Williamson's decision so they just have to go evaluate and we'll see in the next few days hopefully."
Lundblade will attend camps at Texas Tech and make July camp stops at Tulsa and North Carolina. TCU will hold their last camp of the summer in July and Lundblade says although he feels he's proved his talent, he'll come back if the staff wants to evaluate him further.
"If they ask me to, I'll do whatever they ask me to," he said. "I think I proved myself pretty well, but if they want to see more then I would gladly come back."
