"It was a great experience" said the Skyline star. "Anytime you get to get around the coaching staff, it's always fun."
"I've built a great relationship with the staff so we know each other really well."
With his choices narrowed down to seven schools, one of those being TCU, it's coming down to crunch time.
One thing that could play into TCU's favor are the relationships Barrett's built with several TCU commits and current players.
"Me and Cam Luper are real good friends and we text almost every day. He's going to be playing this year and we got to talk a lot."
With his relationships so strong across the board with so many at TCU, Barret went on to explain that TCU has made him feel at home from day one.
"I loved it while I was on campus up there" said Barrett. "It's nice when you show up and you already know everybody and you don't have to meet anybody."
"It's just a lot of love up there and even me and coach Patterson talk all the time, like every day, so it was all good."
If you listen to his comments, it sounds like Barrett might be leaning toward TCU. If that's the case, what's keeping him from pulling the trigger?
"It just comes down to me making the decision between TCU and the other schools" he said. "There's nothing that they haven't showed me and I have a great relationship with Coach Williamson so it's just about making that final decision."
"Me and my mom and dad have all sat down with Coach Williamson and talked to him so it just comes down to the fact that I want to make sure I visit these last few schools before I pull the trigger on anything."
So, which schools does he plan on visiting before he makes his decision known?
With the window closing on Barrett's recruitment, it's crunch time and the pressure is on. Will TCU land a much needed anchor on the offensive line or will Ole Miss swoop in and scoop him up?
