What makes Hunter an impact player?
With Josh Boyce gone to the NFL, TCU will need someone to step up on the receiving corps. After you look past Brandon Carter, you see a handful of talented athletes who have yet to reach their potential. LaDarius Brown is one receiver that must step up to make up for Boyce's absence.

Brown caught 27 balls a year ago while scoring five times. More impressive was his 14.3 yards per catch average. Brown has the size and speed to stretch the field, and Pachall has shown a preference for the vertical passing game. Last season, Brown was best on the road where he hauled in 17 of his 27 passes, but he was inconsistent catching the football. Brown must catch the ball with his hands and not let the ball get into his body. He also tailed off as the season went on. He caught just two passes in the entire month of November.

As with most of the TCU receivers, consistency is now the next step for Brown. He is a big target that needs to be reliable for Pachall in 2012. If the TCU offense is to reach its potential, it will need Brown to step up. He recorded over three catches only twice last season, but we expect that number to rise significantly in 2013. .
