Myers has led Sachse to 3-0 start

TCU is one of a handful of teams that could be close to offering Sachse High School dual threat QB, Kent Myers. The 6'1" 175 pound QB is being looked at as a receiver or a defensive back at the next level.

With a 3-0 record and a big time district opponent coming up, Sachse's Kent Myers is currently focused on his high school team's success more than anything else. HornedFrogBlitz.com caught up with the explosive athlete to find out how things are going so far in 2013.

"You know, we got a new offensive coordinator and it's going well" said Myers. "We're running the same offense as last year but we're just getting ready for Flower Mound in district play."

Even though he stands just 6'1" and a 175 pounds, Myers is putting up huge numbers so far on the year. Through 3 games, he's thrown for 860 yards and 12 touchdowns and added 268 yards and 4 touchdowns on the ground. Accounting for 1,128 yards and 16 TD's in a 3 game span will get you noticed and that's just what Myers sees happening.

"I have one offer right now(Air Force)" said Myers. "But I'm hearing from TCU, Rice, Baylor, Boise State and Arizona State."

As far as the schools from that group that may be closest to offering, Myers thinks Rice could be the next school to step forward.

With TCU sporting the best 2-quarterback recruiting class in the country, Myers know that if TCU comes calling, it will be for another position.

"Since they have 2 commits there already, they're looking at me as a slot receiver" said Myers. "I'm down for whatever, as long as I get playing time."

The Sachse signal caller went on to detail which programs he would like to see in action during the 2013 season and when he would like to make his decision.

"I'm going to try to visit a couple of TCU games at home then I'm going to visit Sam Houston State, Rice and Baylor" he said. "Out of those schools, I think when I get an offer from one of them that I think is the best opportunity, I'll probably take it."
