Owens Enjoys TCU Visit

Palestine, TX defensive end Jarrell Owens visited TCU last weekend.

TCU won their third game of the season and first in the Big 12 last Saturday with a 27-17 victory over Kansas. The Frogs won behind a stingy defensive effort that allowed only 198 total yards by the Jayhawks.

A few recruits made their way to the game and among those players was current TCU commitment Jarrell Owens. The Palestine product committed to the Frogs over the summer and his trip to Ft. Worth was his first since the summer.

Despite the heat during the game, Owens, who was hosted by Devonte Fields, enjoyed his official visit to TCU.

"It was a good game I enjoyed it all," Owens said. "Yeah the stands were super hot after a while."

As for the game, Owens was impressed with what he saw from the defensive side of the ball and says he can't wait to get on campus.

"The defense played hard; I can't wait to see myself in purple and black," Owens said.

Owens spoke with one other recruit while on the visit.

"Yes I saw Grayson and spoke with him," he said. "I didn't see any other recruits."
