Lockhart is a physical specimen at defensive end. He is a prototypical defensive end at 6-foot-4, 250-pounds.
In Ennis' season finale against Aledo, Lockhart was a force against the run. Oddly enough, Aledo tried running at him most of the first half which resulted in plays with minimal yardage. Ennis held Aledo scoreless in the first half which was simply unheard of. By the second half, Aledo was smart to run away from Lockhart. At 6-4, nearly 6-5, Lockhart was one of the biggest players on the field and he used his size and pure strength to cause havoc early and often. His first step is very quick and explosive off the line and combine that with his strength, Lockhart is a balanced defensive end who can rush the passer and stop the run. Without a doubt Lockhart is the top defensive end prospect in the Lone Star state for the 2015 class and in my opinion should be a top 10-15 defensive end in the country by this time next year. There's a reason Lockhart is hearing from teams coast to coast.
