Ford Has TCU On Top

TCU held their first junior day on Sunday and among the many prospects in attendance was Pineville, LA offensive lineman Cody Ford.

TCU held their first junior day this past Sunday with over 20 prospects from the 2015 class in attendance. Among the list were some of the top players in the nation while others are ready to make a splash in the recruiting world.

Among those players who TCU fans will learn plenty about during the course of the 2015 recruiting cycle is Pineville, Louisiana offensive lineman Cody Ford.

A massive 6-foot-4, 315-pound tackle, Ford is one of the strongest prospects in Louisiana; just check out his highlights for further proof. TCU had seen enough of his highlights on Sunday to extend the rising junior a full scholarship.

"I was very shocked," Ford said of his reaction on receiving the TCU offer.

Ford currently holds additional offers from Louisiana Tech and Arkansas. However, after his visit to the Ft. Worth campus, he said the Frogs sit atop his list of favorites.

"I loved it. TCU is at the top of list," he said of his visit.

Ford spent much of his visit with his recruiter, Rusty Burns, while on the visit. He also got some meaningful time with head coach Gary Patterson, calling the coach "a really nice man" who he enjoyed visiting with.

Overall, Ford said he also "loved" the facilities and campus, but said his building relationship with the coaches stood out the most about his visit.

"I would have to say the coach staff was amazing," Ford said.

With TCU at the top of his list, Ford said he could be making a decision relatively soon. In fact, there's not any particular program he's waiting to hear from before making his decision.

"I'll be (deciding) very soon. I'm not really waiting on anybody else," he finished.
