Frogs Add Louisiana Speedster

TCU landed one of the fastest receivers in Louisiana on Sunday with Corey McBride committed to the Frogs.

TCU added a big commitment to their receiving corp on Sunday morning when Dutchtown, LA receiver Corey McBride gave his commitment to the Horned Frogs.

A three-star receiver by Scout.com, McBride was a long time commitment to Arkansas until earlier this week.

McBride confirmed to HornedFrogBlitz.com of his commitment to the Frogs.

"I did (commit) and I'll be signing on Wednesday," he said via text.

McBride decided after his official visit to TCU over the weekend that it was time to be a Horned Frog. He gave head coach Gary Patterson the news on Sunday morning.

"It's just a great program both in football and academics," he said. "Academically I'll get the attention I need. I love the staff and the school, so why not (commit)."

At 6-foot-2, 180-pounds with legit 4.3 speed, McBride will be a nice addition to the Frogs new offense that will be run under Doug Meacham and Sonny Cumbie. As a receiver, the new direction of the offense was another reason he chose the Frogs.

"The Big 12 passes a lot and for a receiver that's the life," he said. "But when I heard they (TCU) was changing to a spread no huddle was great because it's an offense I'm familiar with."

With blazing speed, McBride is also a star in track. Playing both football and running track is something TCU has told him he would be allowed to do if he chooses.

"They said I can run track if I want to," McBride said.

McBride is the 21st commitment for the Frogs' 2014 class.
