Edwards Impressed With TCU Visit

Katy (TX) Cinco Ranch offensive lineman Isaiah Edwards has the Frogs among his favorite schools.

At 6-foot-7, 370-pounds, Katy (TX) Cinco Ranch offensive lineman Isaiah Edwards is a hard prospect to miss on the football field. It's downright impossible.

Luckily, he's caught the attention from those that matter most; college coaches.

Regarded as the nation's No. 34 offensive guard prospect, Edwards is hearing from schools such as TCU, Oklahoma, Texas and Clemson among others.

Edwards was one of many talented prospects who made it to TCU last weekend to attend the Frogs second junior day.

"I really enjoyed it, it was a nice experience," Edwards said of his TCU visit. "I liked the coaching staff and everything they have to offer. They're definitely one of my top schools right now."

Having a chance to meet current Frog players stood out the most about his visit.

"I liked the tour of the locker room and I really liked the player panel," he said. "We got to ask guys a lot of questions; it was really helpful."

Surprisingly, Edwards has yet to pick up his first offer. The discussion of an offer didn't come up during his visit to TCU, but he's hoping to add one soon.

"No, we didn't really talk about that but it was probably my fault for not asking," he said. "I'm hoping to get one soon."

With TCU sitting among his favorite schools; Edwards said TCU's commitment to education is what sets the Frogs apart from others.

"I like their strive for education; I like that they take care of their players and make sure they do what they need to do to graduate," Edwards said. "That really caught my eye and my parents' eye too."

Edwards isn't done with junior day visits; he plans to see Texas and Clemson in the coming weeks.

"I'm going to the UT junior day on February 22nd and I'm going to Clemson's spring game," Edwards said.
