Henderson on TCU's Radar

Humble (TX) Kingwood Park quarterback Jaylon Henderson recently visited TCU for a junior day.

Humble (TX) Kingwood Park 2015 quarterback Jaylon Henderson may not be a well-known name at the moment, but give it time as he could end up being one of the most popular signal callers in Texas this season.

At 6-foot-2, 190-pounds, Henderson is one of the most athletic players at his position. In 2013, Henderson passed for over 1,000 yards while adding another 1,000 yards on the ground.

Among the teams showing interest at the moment are Baylor, Texas, Texas A&M, Houston, Ohio State and TCU. Henderson visited TCU last weekend to attend the Frogs' second junior day and gave the visit glowing remarks.

"Absolutely fantastic," Henderson said of his TCU visit. "From the coaches to the nice facilities, it was an all-around great atmosphere. The coaches were very welcoming!"

While on the visit, Henderson spent a good amount of time sitting with TCU head coach Gary Patterson. Although an offer wasn't extended while on the visit, Henderson knows where he stands with the Frogs.

"We were talking about how I would fit in their program and he was telling me that he will surely be down in the spring and would love for me to visit camps," he said. "Also how he really likes the things I do as a quarterback!"

As a quarterback, Henderson is most impressed with the direction the Frogs' new offense will utilize next season under Doug Meacham and Sonny Cumbie.

"Oh, I love it, especially since I love to throw the ball around and I know how Coach Meacham loves too as well," he said. "I think it will be very effective with their new signees."

Henderson has plans to attend upcoming junior days at Texas, Houston and UTSA.
