Woods, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound safety, doesn't hold an offer yet but he's received strong interest from Oklahoma State, Missouri, Tulsa, Rice, Texas and Arkansas among others. He's regarded as one of the top safety prospects in the Sooner state after recording 71 tackles and an interception in 2013.
The interest from TCU is new according to Woods, but he was impressed with what he saw on Friday afternoon during his visit.
"I really liked it, it's a beautiful campus," he said. "I got to see a weight training session today. I talked with Coach (Curtis) Luper and had a campus tour."
Although he didn't know much about TCU prior to his visit, his good friend Davion Pierson, has told him plenty about the Horned Frogs program.
"He loves it up there," Woods said of Pierson. "(He's) always saying good things. He's says that the strength and condition program is great and the college itself is awesome."
Next up for Woods is a junior day visit to Texas on Saturday.
