The Frogs have offers out to eight additional receivers from the 2015 class and are showing interest in others. Among the other receivers starting to receive interest from TCU is Oklahoma City Casady receiver Denver Johnson.
The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder is regarded as one of the top receiver prospects in Oklahoma and ranked as the No.19 prospect in the OKPreps Top 25. Johnson hauled in 39 catches for 506 yards and 5 touchdowns in 2013.
Johnson's interest from TCU is relatively new, but others have shown consistent interest early on.
"It's fairly new from TCU, recently a lot more schools have been showing me a lot of love," he said. "Texas, Texas Tech, SMU, Oklahoma State, Tulsa, Memphis, Alabama, Northwestern, and Purdue (have shown interest)."
Johnson is attending a Texas junior day on Saturday but made a stop to TCU on Friday afternoon with teammate Gary Woods. It was the first time Johnson has been on the Ft. Worth campus.
"(I) loved TCU," he said. "They have great facilities great atmosphere. Coach (Curtis) Luper is really funny."
Johnson admits he doesn't know much about TCU aside from what he hears from his cousin, Stewart.
"I didn't know much, just what Jarrison tells me," he said. "He talks about how it's beautiful and he likes it up here."
After his visit to Texas on Saturday, Johnson is unsure where he'll visit next. At the moment, he may just wait to make visits during the spring.
"I'm not sure where I'll be visiting next and I'm not sure if I'll want to go to anymore junior days," Johnson said. "But I've been invited to a lot of schools. Spring ball is when I'll make those trips. Oklahoma State, Tulsa, and Memphis are the only ones that are for sure."
