Teams such as Oklahoma, Baylor, Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Colorado, SMU and several others stopped by Legacy a few weeks ago to check out the rising player. Oklahoma State and Colorado have since offered the No. 24 rated defensive tackle in the country.
Bakari visit Oklahoma State last weekend to attend a Cowboys' junior day. The visit certainly opened his eyes to the Big 12 program.
"I love OSU," Bakari said. "I love everything about them."
What stood out most about the visit?
"(I liked) their locker room, their campus and the coaches," Bakari said of why the Oklahoma State visit stood out.
The visit to Oklahoma State impressed Bakari so much that they sit as his new leader. It wasn't long ago that TCU was the leader for his services but Bakari says it's still a close race.
"It's maybe 55% OSU and TCU 45%," Bakari said.
Bakari hopes to have a decision made by the end of spring football.
