Dallas (TX) South Oak Cliff's football team is loaded with athletes from the 2015 and 2016 class. Among the roster are eight players who already hold Division 1 scholarships.
Although the roster is loaded with talent, it doesn't take long to spot one of the top prospects; 2016 linebacker Marvin Terry.
The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder had a stellar season in 2013, earning All-State honors after racking up 130 tackles and an amazing 23 sacks in 13 games while helping the Golden Bears to a 9-4 record.
"I have four or five offers," he said. "It feels great. It lets me know to stay on my grind and don't stop; just get better at everything."
Other programs including Ohio State, Alabama and Oklahoma State are showing strong interest. One school Terry would like to hear more from is TCU. Terry's teammate, J.F. Thomas, is currently committed to the Frogs.
"I like their school and their academic program" he said. "I'd love to hear more from them."
Terry, who wants to major in computer engineering, says a program's academics are the most important factor he's looking at in a school.
"Location is really not a big deal for me; I'd like to get out there and see some things," he said. "The school also has to have a good program for what I want to major in. I like computer engineering."
As for summer plans, Terry has plans to attend one camp so far but is open to attend others if they come calling.
"I'm going to Texas Tech and if any others want me to come, I'm there," he said.
