Horned Frogs Garner National Seed!

The TCU Horned Frogs are the #7 seed in the nation and have an intriguing regional pool they'll have to battle through.

For the first time in program history, the TCU Horned Frogs have earned a national seed. Landing the #7 seed, the Fort Worth regional winner will be matched up with the Cal-Poly regional winner. The winner of that regional will come to Fort Worth, should TCU handle their business in Cowtown.

Joining TCU in the Fort Worth Regional will be #2 seed Dallas Baptist (40-19), #3 seed Sam Houston State (41-17), and #4 seed Siena (26-31). The Frogs first game will be against Siena, first pitch is set for 7 pm (CST).

Dallas Baptist has been a thorn in TCU's side recently and Sam Houston State thumped TCU 9-4 in the Houston Classic this year. Regardless, this is not the same TCU team as earlier in the year and the Frogs should be able to get out of this group and into a super regional.

As tough as least season's (29-28) record was, Coach Schlossnagle feels like this team has grown from that experience. With a pitching staff that's loaded from top to bottom, the path to Omaha looks very promising.
