The "Cardiac Kids" Do it Again

TCU wins and advances in Game 3 of the 2014 College World Series. With the 3-2 victory, the Frogs will play the winner of Ole Miss and Virginia on Tuesday night at 7 pm.

Preston Morrison looked very much like the Big 12 pitcher of the year as he struck out 10 Red Raiders and gave up just 1 run on 5 hits in 7 1/3 innings. TCU won Game 3 of the 2014 College World Series, 3-2 over Texas Tech, and will play Tuesday night against the winner of tonight's Ole Miss-Virginia game.

Texas Tech starter Chris Sadberry was equally as impressive as he held TCU to 1 run on 3 hits through 7 innings, striking out 5. In the end however, TCU's knack for late inning heroics was too much for Tech to overcome.

The legend of Boomer White continues to grow as it seems like he's always at the plate for a key at bat in the game. More often than not, he comes through in the clutch.

TCU fell behind 2-1 in the top of the 8th inning only to see Keaton Jones scamper home to tie it up 2-2 on a throwing error by Alec Humphreys in the bottom of the 8th. That brought up Boomer and the hard hitting sophomore didn't disappoint.

On a 1-0 pitch, White laced a line drive to left field to bring home Cody Jones, giving TCU the 3-2 lead. The RBI for White was his 2nd of the game and 48th on the year. It was all the Horned Frogs would need.

After a shaky 8th, Riley Ferrell slammed the door in the 9th and TCU found themselves victors of yet another 1-run game. With the victory, TCU moves to (48-16) on the year.
