Brennen Wooten, a Scout.com four-star prospect from Marble Falls (Texas) High has been a hot commodity on the recruiting trail, as he is closing in on double digit offers already.
"I have eight offers right now," Wooten explained. "Kentucky, TCU, Clemson Boise State, Tulsa, Akron, Houston and Rice. They are all showing a bunch of interest, I have bee really blessed."
"Akron was the first school to offer me followed by Clemson and that was a dream come true to know that I was going to play D1 football. And from there I was able to relax and know that I was going to have the opportunity to play D1 football."
"But I am getting a lot of interest from other schools as well like Oklahoma, Texas, Texas Tech, UCLA and some others," Wooten continued on. "It's just been an awesome process so far."
Wooten has two offers from in-state programs, something that is a corner turner in the recruiting world.
"Houston offered me first -- an in-state school -- and they sling the ball around a lot," Wooten said. "Then I got TCU, a Big 12 school that plays some great competition and they have also produced some good quarterbacks like Andy Dalton."
Tonight, he Wooten will be at the 'Under The Lights' Camp at Texas.
"It is going to be a cool experience," Wooten reported. "I have never been to a night camp before and I look forward to building a relationship with coach (Charlie) Strong and even stronger relationship with coach (Shawn) Watson."
