GAME BALLS: TCU vs. Oklahoma

Several players came up big in TCU's 37-33 upset win over No. 3 Oklahoma.

TCU got one of their biggest wins in school history on Saturday as the No. 25 Frogs upset No. 3 Oklahoma 37-33 Saturday at Amon G. Carter Stadium.

The Frogs totaled 469 yards of offense on the night and limited Oklahoma quarterback Trevor Knight to just 79 yards through the air in the second half.

Players on both sides of the ball came up with big plays on the afternoon. Here’s our selection for game balls.

Trevone Boykin – QB

Boykin just continues to prove doubters wrong as he completed 20-of-38 passes for 318 yards and 2 scores. When the offense needed a big play, he was ready to step up to the plate and provide one whether it was through the air or on the ground where he also led the Frogs in rushing with 77 yards. His best play of the day came on his third quarter 29-yard touchdown pass to Deante’ Gray.

Paul Dawson – LB

Dawson keeps coming up big this season and he had his biggest play of the season early in the fourth quarter when he stepped in front of one of Knight’s passes and returned it 41 yards to put the Frogs up for good. Dawson was also second on the team with 11 tackles.

Kolby Listenbee – WR

Listenbee led the Frogs’ receivers with 5 catches for 103 yards. Although he didn’t score a touchdown, Listenbee kept the Sooners’ defense honest all afternoon with his world-class speed. Listenbee’s best play of the day came on a beautiful 34-yard snag down the sideline in the first half.

Davion Pierson – DT

Pierson came up huge in the fourth quarter with a sack on Knight and was a force all afternoon long against the run. Pierson finished with four tackles and led the Frogs’ with 2.5 tackles for loss. Obviously his biggest play was the sack on Knight in the beginning of the fourth quarter.
