See where each TCU commit will be in action this week!

Week 7 of the Texas high school football season is upon us and it's time to take a look at where TCU commits will be in action this week.

Jaelan Austin

South Grand Prairie (5-2; 3-0) vs. Desoto (6-0; 2-0); Friday, October 17th, 7:30pm – Gopher-Warrior Bowl – Grand Prairie

South Grand Prairie defends their undefeated district record this Friday as they host national-powers Desoto. SGP is coming off a 24-0 win over rival Grand Prairie while Desoto defeated Mansfield 49-21. Austin played only one half against Grand Prairie last week so he is well rested.

Joseph Broadnax

Dallas Bryan Adams (2-4; 1-2) vs. Carrollton Creekview (4-2; 3-0); Thursday, October 16th, 7:00pm –Standridge Stadium - Carrollton

Bryan Adams lost their second district game of their season last week with a tough loss to Dallas Hillcrest. The road doesn’t get any easier this week as they travel to Carrollton to take on district leading Creekview.

Alec Dunham

Coldspring – Oakhurst (4-2; 1-0) vs. Diboll (1-5; 0-1); Friday, October 17th, 7:30pm - Diboll

Coldspring hopes to improve their district record to 2-0 with a win on the road at Diboll. Coldspring is coming off a 28-0 shutout victory over Shepherd last week. Diboll picked up their first win of the season last week with a 25-14 win over Madisonville.

Darrion Flowers

Sam Houston (4-2; 1-2) vs. FW Paschal (2-4; 1-2); Friday, October 17th, 7:30pm – Farrington Field – Ft. Worth

The Texans are coming off a big 21-20 win over Arlington last week and look for that momentum to carry over in their game against Paschal on Friday. Paschal has struggled to a 2-4 record, which includes last week’s 76-10 loss to Arlington Lamar .

Jeff Gladney

New Boston (5-1; 1-0) vs. Redwater (3-3; 1-0); Friday, October 17th, 7:30pm – New Boston

New Boston got their district play off to a good start last week with a 46-19 win over Mt. Vernon. This week, they host Redwater, who also boasts a 1-0 district record. Redwater is coming off a 34-11 win over Prairiland.

Tre'vontae Hights

Yoakum (4-3; 0-1) vs. Sinton (5-2; 1-0); Friday, October 17th, 7:30pm – Sinton

Yoakum has lost two consecutive games including last week’s district opener to Cuero; 44-34. Hights had minimal production against Cuero in the loss. Sinton is coming off a 27-0 shutout victory over Jourdanton. The Pirates have allowed on one touchdown the last two games.

Cordel Iwuagwu

Spring Westfield (5-1; 3-0) vs. Klein Oak (5-1; 2-1); Friday, October 17th, 7:00pm – George Stadium - Spring

Westfield has won five consecutive games and are in the driver’s seat with a 3-0 district record. The Mustangs are coming off a nice 28-17 win over previously undefeated Klein Collins. Another tough battle awaits as a tough Klein Oak team comes to town. Oak is coming off a 24-14 win over Spring Dekaney.

Tony James

Arlington Bowie (4-2; 2-1) vs. Arlington Martin (4-2; 3-0), Friday, October 17th, 7:30pm – Wilemon Field

It’s a battle for the lead in district 4-6A on Friday as Bowie takes on Martin. Bowie enters the game with a 2-1 record, which includes last week’s 35-28 win over North Crowley. Since beginning the season 0-2, Martin has reeled off four consecutive wins and sits atop the district rankings with a 3-0 record. The Warriors are coming off a 30-0 win over Weatherford last week.

Julius Lewis

Mansfield (4-3; 1-2) - BYE

Mansfield has a bye this week. They will face South Grand Prairie next week.

Breylin Mitchell

Round Rock (5-1; 3-0) vs. Cedar Ridge (3-3; 3-0); Friday, October 17th, 7:00pm – Dragons Stadium

The winner of this game will take the lead in the district race as both teams enter with 3-0 records. Round Rock is coming off a 36-16 win over Leander Rouse and has won five consecutive games. Cedar Ridge has won three consecutive games including last week’s 34-10 win over Pflugerville.

Niko Small

Arlington Bowie (4-2; 2-1) vs. Arlington Martin (4-2; 3-0); Friday, October 17th, 7:30pm –Wilemon Field

Bowie was able to get their second district win of the year in last week’s 35-28 win over North Crowley. This week, they will face their biggest test of the season against Arlington Martin. The Warriors have won four consecutive games and are in first place in district 4-6A with a 3-0 record.

Jonathan Song

FW All Saints (5-2; 5-0 SPC) vs. OKC Casady (6-1; 5-0 SPC); Friday, October 17th, 7:00pm – All Saints

The fate of the SPC North Division should be settled on Friday as two powerhouses meet at All Saints. All Saints enters the game winners of five consecutive games; all in SPC play. Casady has also won five consecutive games and also boasts an undefeated mark in SPC play.

Jarrison Stewart

Mesquite Horn (5-1; 3-0) vs. Richardson (0-5; 1-2); Friday, October 17th, 7:30pm – Hanby Stadium - Mesquite

Horn is coming off one of their biggest wins in school history with their 42-27 win over Highland Park. Stewart caught three touchdown passes in the win. The Jaguars sit atop the district standings with a 3-0 record. Richardson has struggled heavily this season, but showed signs of improvement last week in their 45-38 loss to Lake Highlands.

J.F. Thomas

South Oak Cliff (3-3; 2-0) vs. Dallas Kimball (5-2; 3-0); Thursday, October 16th, 7:00pm – Sprague/Jones Field- Dallas

South Oak Cliff has dismantled their last three opponents, outscoring them 186-7. The road gets a little tougher on Thursday as they battle undefeated Kimball, which has outscored their last two opponents 102-2.

Semaje Thomas

Ft. Worth Southwest (1-5; 1-1) vs. Ft. Worth Wyatt (2-5; 2-1); Friday, October 17th, 7:30pm – Clark Stadium – Ft. Worth

Southwest had a bye last week and hopefully that was enough rest to prepare for Wyatt and Colorado State commit Javonte Adams. Wyatt is coming off a 52-15 loss to district leading Arlington Heights.


Jonathan Marshall

Shepherd (3-3; 0-1) vs. Cleveland-Tarkinton (5-1; 1-0); Friday, October 17th, 7:30pm – Tarkington

Shepherd hopes to bounce back from last week’s disappointing 28-0 loss to Coldspring. They face another tough this week against 5-1 Tarkington, which defeated Huntington 41-8 last week. Tarkington has won four consecutive games.

Brennen Wooten

Marble Falls(3-3; 1-2) vs. Leander (0-6; 0-3); Friday, October 17th, 7:30pm – Marble Falls

Marble Falls looks to get back in the win column this week after their 62-35 loss to Georgetown last week. The Mustangs quest for postseason gets a little help on Friday with winless Leander coming to town. The Lions lost to Cedar Park last week by a score of 41-12.


Mike Freeze is no longer at Graham and is at Weatherford. He is not playing football this season.
