TCU on Top for Somerville

Pflugerville (TX) Hendrickson four-star 2016 cornerback KeShawn Somerville says TCU is at the top after his visit this past Saturday.

TCU hosted a ton of top recruits for their game against Texas Tech on Saturday and they witnessed history as the Frogs routed the Red Raiders; 82-27.

The Frogs set a school-record for total yards (785) and points in the win.

Among the recruits that walked away impressed was 2016 four-star defensive back KeShawn Somerville. It was already the second visit for the Pflugerville Hendrickson product to a TCU game this season.

“I thought was full of positive energy and excitement which lead into a great win over (Texas) Tech,” he said.

Like many others across the nation, the 82 points scored by the Frogs came as a big surprise to Somerville.

“I wasn't expecting a blowout game like that. I knew TCU was going to come out on top, but not with 82 points on the scoreboard.”

Visiting TCU has become a common occurrence for Somerville. As previously mentioned, he’s already visited twice but missed one opportunity.

“This is my second (visit), I was supposed to come back up there when they played Oklahoma but I had problems getting up there,” he said.

With a few visits to TCU already, Somerville is doing some thinking. Considered a soft commit to Baylor, Somerville says TCU is the team at the top at the moment.

“TCU is on the top, they’re showing the most love no doubt, especially Coach P (Patterson),” Somerville said. “Actually the whole team, staff members and a lot of fans (are showing interest) as well. (I’m) well-loved and known there.”
