TCU on top for Wallace
Katy (TX) Tompkins defensive back Christian Wallace is one of the most coveted prospects from the 2016 class in the nation. Regarded as the nation’s No. 10 safety prospect and No. 151 overall player, Wallace has big time options. The 6-foot-2, 195-pounder currently holds offers from Houston, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Oregon State, Texas and TCU. Wallace was scheduled to attend the Frogs’ game last week but was unable to make the trip. Regardless, Wallace has already built a strong relationship with the coaches and has the Frogs at the top of his list. “I was supposed to go last week but I didn’t have a ride,” he said. “They’re showing me a lot of love right now. They’re number one for me right now. The whole coaching staff treats me like family and I’m not even a part of them yet.” In addition to his relationship with the coaching staff, Wallace says where the Frogs are recruiting him is another big factor for them being at the top. “Coach Perry he would coach me to be the best corner; with my size and stuff they could do that,” he said. “That’s the main reason I like them because they’re recruiting me where I want to play.” Wallace told HornedFrogBlitz.com that a decision on where he’s headed will be coming soon. “I just know it’s going to be real soon; it’s coming,” Wallace said of his decision. “It’s going to be after my junior season.” Aside from TCU, Wallace has two more schools that he’s keeping a close watch on. “Mississippi State and Texas,” he said. “I haven’t visit Mississippi State but I’ve visited Texas though. Their fan base is amazing.” Wallace is hoping to make it in for a TCU game before the season is over. He wanted to attend the Kansas State game but his team also has a game that day. “I was trying to but I have a game that day,” he said. “They wanted me to come up but with our game I won’t be able to make it. But, I really want to go up there though.
