Commits React To TCU Win

TCU made the trip to Morgantown and escaped with a 31-30 win over West Virginia.

TCU moved to 7-1 and 4-1 in Big 12 play with a dramatic 31-30 victory over West Virginia as time expired on the road in Morgantown.

On Sunday, the Frogs had moved to No. 6 in the AP Poll and No. 7 in the Coaches Poll. On Tuesday, the College Football Playoff Rankings will be released and it’s expected that the Frogs will move up at least one spot after Ole Miss lost to Auburn on Saturday.

As expected, the win for the Frogs brought plenty excitement from the Frogs fan base and now they look forward to a highly anticipated top 10 battle this Saturday at home against Kansas State.

The win also brought plenty of reactions from the Frogs current group of 2015 and 2016 commits. HornedFrogBlitz.com reached out to those commits to get their reaction on the big win.

Tony James
“Was a good team win. Both sides of the ball made plays when it really needed! Clutch win on the road.”

Niko Small

“It was a great victory. They really showed they are not playing as a team but as a family. That defense is just crazy too.”

Alec Dunham

“It's not much to say at this point in the season. We're expected to win”

Jonathan Song

“After watching Jaden kick that game winning field goal, I became even more excited to have the opportunity to learn from one of the best kickers.”

Brennen Wooten

“They showed a lot of maturity and overcame adversity which is huge in a tough environment! Big time game!”

Jaelan Austin

“(It was) just another game to show that TCU is legit and we’re a contender. We’re the best in the Big 12 and I truly believe that and we will definitely stay that way in the future.”

Tre'vontae Hights

“Frogs showed relentless effort!”

Joe Broadnax

“Always knew they would win.”

Jarrison Stewart

“I was confident that the Frogs would come back and beat them the whole time, but I was glad to see them come out with the W at the end with the clutch field goal.”

Semaj Thomas

"The win over West Virginia sends a message to everyone that TCU is coming to play ball and they are not afraid of any challenge even if it means they have to win a ball game by one point. I believe the turnovers cost them some points they could've got but that's okay, that's what film study is for; to look at mistakes and fix them. I think that TCU has come a long way and it shows in there game play. It's not a surprise to me that they came out with the win last night because they work hard everyday."
