Terry Has TCU Among Top 5

Dallas (TX) South Oak Cliff 2016 four-star Marvin Terry has TCU among his top schools.

South Oak Cliff was in full force on Sunday as several prospects from the Golden Bears roster participated in the Next Level Athlete Texas Top 100 Showcase.

The most notable Bear in attendance was four-star Marvin Terry. The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder is rated as the No.9 outside linebacker in the nation but worked exclusively at defensive end on Sunday.

Terry walked away as one of the most impressive defensive linemen in attendance.

“It was a really nice camp, I had a lot of fun today,” Terry said.

On the recruiting front, Terry is holding steady at ten offers and a few of them have begun to stand out.

“It’s going really well; I’m thinking a lot about UCLA,” he said. “Texas Tech and OSU have been around a long time. I’m thinking about TCU too; they’re in my top five.”

Like other recruits, Terry was blown away with the Frogs’ performance this season; particularly their 42-3 win over Ole Miss. He sees himself fitting into the Frogs’ style of play on defense.

“They did very well; I think I would be a good piece on their defense,” he said.

In addition to the programs that have offered, Terry has another program among his favorites; even without an offer.

“OU (Oklahoma), they haven’t offered but I really like their program,” Terry said. “TCU, OSU and UCLA (also stand out). OSU wants me to come down for a super junior day but that’s it so far.”
