Big Weekend Ahead

TCU will host two junior days this weekend and many of the top names in the nation are expected to be in attendance.

TCU is set to host several prospects from the 2016 and 2017 classes this weekend as they hold their first two junior days on campus Saturday and Sunday.

Many top names are expected to be in attendance along with several of the Frogs’ current commits.

Some prospects expected to be in town starting on Saturday are quarterback commit Brennen Wooten and his brother, 2017 prospect Aaron Wooten. Other big names include Katy running back Kyle Porter (pictured above), Bellaire receiver Courtney Lark, Bastrop receiver Isaiah Graham, Allen defensive back Jaylon Jones, Waco cornerback Eric Cuffee, Houston MacArthur defensive end Isaiah Chambers, Huntersville (NC) Southlake Christian running back Robert Washington.

Porter, Lark, Jones, Cuffee, Washington and Chambers are all included in the Top 300 ranking for the 2016 class.

On Super Bowl Sunday, the Frogs will have another impressive list expected to be in attendance. Headlining that group is Sachse cornerback Jared Mayden, who released a top three of TCU, Oregon and Ohio State on Friday night. He’s expected to be joined by his Sachse teammates; brothers Devin and Donovan Duvernay. Devin is considered one of the top receiver prospects in the nation.

The Frogs are also expecting another solid group at defensive end in addition to Chambers. Trophy Club (TX) Byron Nelson defensive end Brandon Bowen has an invite to attend Sunday’s junior day as well as McKinney North defensive end Justin Madibuike, who has an invite but yet to confirm if he will be in attendance.

Euless Trinity defensive tackle Chris Daniels will likely visit TCU on Sunday. He plans to be in Waco on Saturday for Baylor’s junior day.

Lewisville, TX offensive lineman, Denzel Okafor, also plans to be in attendance on Sunday. The Frogs offered the big lineman a few months ago.

Several others are expected to be in attendance throughout the weekend. The Frogs currently have seven commitments for their 2016 class, with five players already holding four-star status.
