Scott, 6-foot-2.5, 200 pounds, is an aggressive player that brings a confidence to his game and backs it up on the field with solid fundamentals.
Scott is an excellent tackler that can cover both inside and outside receivers. He uses his size and physicality to his advantage and isn’t afraid to mix it up with receivers. When the ball is in the air he makes plays with his speed and ability to read the routes of receivers.
In his junior season, Scott recorded 58 tackles, two interceptions, two forced fumbles, and seven pass breakups. Scott’s defensive play helped Summit reach the area round of the 5A Division I state playoffs last year.
Recruited by co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach Chad Glasgow, Scott should thrive in the Frogs’ 4-2-5 defensive scheme because of his versatility.
Scott attended the TCU Friday Night Lights Camp earlier in July and was offered immediately following the camp. Scott announced his decision on Twitter just a few days after receiving the offer from TCU.
