Lancaster (TX) wide receiver Omar Manning has been hearing from TCU a lot lately. Manning was in Gary Patterson’s office the day TCU offered teammate Tyrell Alexander and later attended TCU’S Friday Night Lights Camp – where he was arguably one of the top performing wide receivers.
The 6-3, 200 pounder with above average leaping ability and body control currently holds four offers. As the only in-state school, Houston is joined by Illinois State, Toledo and Louisiana-Lafayette but it’s the school that has yet to offer that sticks out to him.
“Yes, that’s an offer I really want,” Manning said of TCU, “I like TCU a lot. I also really love the environment and the coaches. Plus they run the spread.”
As far as the season goes, Manning and his teammates are getting ready for the season but he is planning on checking out the Horn Frogs once or twice this season.
"I don't have any visits planned yet but I do plan on going to some TCU games this season. For sure one, maybe two."
