Staff Picks: TCU at Kansas State

The Horned Frog Insider staff makes their predicts the outcome of TCU's matchup with Kansas State

Brad Hardcastle: Last week the Wildcats gave Oklahoma State a scare and depending on who you ask, they probably should have won that game. Bill Snyder will have his team up for this game, and Manhattan is a tough place to win a road game. But K-State's defense isn't at the level it needs to be stop TCU's passing game. Look for the Horned Frogs to go deep often and Early to Josh Doctson and implement more wrinkles for KaVontae Turpin. Final score: 51-24

Mitchell Stehly: Yes, Bill Snyder coached teams tend to surprise--especially in Manhattan--but I fully expect TCU to roll in this contest. Look for TCU to have a large lead at halftime and coast in the second half. Josh Doctson scores three touchdowns. Prediction: TCU-45 KSU-7

J.D. Moore: K-State QB Joe Hubener should be back from a concussion this week, and likely will play against the Horned Frogs. He'll be a big help in an offense that nearly beat Oklahoma State on the road last week, and Bill Snyder Family Stadium is going to be a tough place to play for TCU, which has struggled on the road so far this season. Kansas State offers one of the strongest run defenses in the nation so far this year, which may limit Aaron Green's production, but it seems unlikely they'll have an answer for Doctson or Turpin on the receiving front. TCU wins, but doesn't cover the spread. 31-24 Frogs.
