At 6-7, 310 pounds Northwest High School sophomore Darrell Simpson isn’t hard to miss. That certainly holds true in the recruiting world.
He definitely caught the attention of the TCU Horned Frogs coaching staff.
Last night Simpson picked up his 7th overall offer in his young recruiting career - one that will most certainly blow up over the course of his high school career – from TCU. The Frogs join Baylor, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Kansas and Texas Tech in the early race for the offensive tackle from Justin, Texas.
When asked about the latest offer from TCU, Simpson told HornedFrogInsider.com that “It’s a dream come true.”
“It’s most definitely a school I want to check out in the future.” said Simpson. When asked if he had any plans set on when he would check things out on campus during a game day setting Simpson quickly knew the game he had in mind.
“I’ll be at the TCU and Baylor game.” the monster offensive lineman said. “I want to see what kind of atmosphere there is, and I want to see how the TCU offensive line keeps Boykin safe.”
That game is November 27th.
Simpson always has an unofficial visit planned for this weekend at Texas Tech. The Red Raiders host Oklahoma State.
