It’s been a wild past ten days for Crosby 2017 wide-receiver Mannie Netherly. It started with Arizona State offering, the later that day Texas A&M offered. The next day Netherly picked up three offers – Michigan State, Missouri and Colorado. Now you can add TCU to the list of 16 total offers.
Horned Frog Insider caught up with the speedy wide out to get his thoughts on an offer he’s been wanting for a good while.
“It feels great to get that offer you work for.” said Netherly on the TCU offer. “I’m very thankful and blessed to have the offer.”
The 6-3, 175 pounder that features a 4.4 forty has been putting together a solid season for his No. 2 ranked Crosby Cougars squad. Through eight games he has hauled in 46-catches for 841-yards and 15 scores with a long of 70-yards.
Netherly has been keeping up with the Horned Frogs over the past two seasons and likes what he has seen so far.
“TCU is doing great this season,” he said. “They did well last season and with this season they’re just keeping the train going.”
With a long list of offers and still a year-and-half of high school ball left to play he hasn’t narrowed his list down to top choices yet.
“I’m really just trying to enjoy all of this, trying to keep my options open.” said of his recruitment.
Although his high school team is in the thick of a title hunt, visiting for a game is still something Netherly wants to make room for.
“I know I want to go TCU game,” he said. “I just don’t know which one yet.”
Netherly became the fourth 2017 wide receiver to pick up a Horned Frog offer and the 27th overall in the class.
