Many times when a recruit is committed then de-commits and shortly after commits to another school that tends to bring caution. With Pflugerville Hendrickson defensive back KeShawn Somerville, that’s simply not the case.
“No sir, not at all.” Said Somerville about the idea of the senior looking at other schools. “I have no reason to visit any other schools. My mind is set on TCU.”
TCU Horned Frogs picked up Somerville’s commitment last December, just one month after de-committing from Baylor. Ever since committing to TCU Somerville has been all about the Horned Frogs and how they have gone about their business being one of the top teams in the country.
One thing in particular stands out to the 5-11, 170 pounder with a knack for the ball. The way TCU has battled through adversity while staying undefeated on the year.
“I think it’s been a success,” he said on TCU’s season. “They have been going through so many trials and tribulations and still manage to pull out victories.”
“That’s a championship team and mind set right there. That’s why I’m going there.”
It’s been a tough and busy high school season for Somerville, battling injuries of his on while his team looks to add a district title to the trophy case, but that hasn’t stopped him from wanting to check out the Horned Frogs in action.
“I’ve been busy with school and everything but that hasn’t stopped me from visiting a few games.” He said. “Hopefully, I’ll be able to make so more. I really want to go to the Baylor game.”
