Even with just two days left until national signing day, the Frogs shouldn’t have much to worry about when it comes to class rankings as many of their commits have affirmed their pledge. However, there still may be a few surprises come Wednesday.
Here’s a list of TCU’s remaining targets and commits, where they are trending from the Frogs’ perspective:
TCU commit Sci Martin appears to be weighing his options, and is perhaps the Frogs biggest threat to flip on National signing day. According to reports, Martin took an unofficial visit to LSU on Saturday, and may flip to the Tigers on signing day, despite saying that LSU was out of the picture just a couple days ago. But now it appears that a decommitment may be coming in the near future.
It now appears like the Frogs are making some serious progress with the state’s top-ranked receiver Tyrie Cleveland. Since the Houston commit visited the Frogs last week, the coaching staff seems to be optimistic about flipping Cleveland soon. However, the 4-star prospect said Arkansas is still in the mix. Florida could also be in the picture for Cleveland after he said that the Gators made a big impression on him last weekend in Gainesville. Cleveland will announce his Top 2 choices on Tuesday.
Despite visiting Arkansas last weekend, it still appears that TCU may still be the most likely choice for running back Kyle Porter. The 4-star prospect from Katy, Texas said he had a “great” visit to Arkansas last week, but he still has yet to make a decision. Both TCU and Arkansas seem to feel good about their chances, but it appears TCU may have the edge.
Even though defensive tackle D'Andre Christmas-Giles included TCU in his Top 3 last week, it appears that he will sign with Texas on national signing day. Many recruiting experts believe that the Longhorns sealed the deal when the St. Augustine (New Orleans) product made his visit to Austin last weekend.
Last summer, Trayvon Mullen told Scout that TCU was his leader. Now it appears he has moved on, as the Frogs were left out of his Top 3 on Monday. It now seems that it will come down to Clemson, Florida State and LSU for the 4-star’s signature on Wednesday.
It seems like TCU is in a close battle between Oklahoma State, UCLA and SMU for Plano East’s Adewale Omotosho. The 4-star wide receiver has visited all four of his Top 4 schools with in last month. It appears that all four of Omotosho’s Top 4 schools, including TCU, have a chance of getting his signature on Wednesday, but it all depends on how the rest of their classes fill out. If Cleveland signs with TCU, there may not be room for another wide receiver, but according to sources close to the program, the Frogs may take him anyway.
It appears to be a two-team race between TCU and Oklahoma State for Keondre Wudtee's commitment. The 3-star quarterback will announce his decision on national signing day, and it seems like both he Frogs and the Cowboys are still in the mix.
