On Thursday, Cypress Creek (Houston, Texas) offensive tackle Grayson Reed announced that he received an offer from TCU.
Listed at a hefty 6'4", 290 pounds, Reed is one of the lone star state's most highly sought after linemen in the 2017 class. He's already received 18 Division I offers, several of which are from notable Power Five conference members Baylor, Texas, Tennessee, Arizona State, Oklahoma, Florida, Texas A&M, Miami (FL), Missouri, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech. Right now, it appears the Frogs are in the mix for Reed's services along with the Bears, Longhorns, Aggies, Sooners, Gators and Volunteers.
In January, Reed told Scout that the Frogs are on the list of schools he would like to visit soon.
"I wanna take a visit to Tennessee, TCU, and I wanna hit up Florida," Reed said.
Scout ranks Reed as the No.3 OT in Texas and the Midlands recruiting area. He's also rated No.173 in the Scout 300 rankings.
Though Reed is already rated very highly by many analysts, he could end up moving even higher up the rankings as he has both the size and technique to become on the best offensive line prospects in the 2017 class. He has great body control, balance, footwork and strength, which allows him to compete against some of the best talent in Texas' 6A district.
