TCU Fires Trent Johnson

Trent Johnson has been fired after serving as head coach for four seasons.

Trent Johnson will no longer be the head coach of TCU's mens basketball team, according to multiple reports.

There's been no official statement released from Johnson or TCU, but the reasons behind Johnson's firing doesn't need much explanation. Johnson had a 50-79 overall record and a 8-64 Big 12 record during his four seasons as TCU's head coach. This season, the Horned Frogs finished 12-21 and 2-16 in conference play.

Last season, Johnson was able to lead the Horned Frogs to 18-14 record, and a No. 25 national ranking, however, 13 of those wins came against weak out of conference opponents, and the Frogs ended up losing 14 of their last 19 games.

During Johnson's career as a TCU coach, TCU never qualified for the NCAA tournament or the NIT. Perhaps Johnson's most impressive accomplishment while at TCU was upsetting No. 5 Kansas in 2013.

We will keep you update once more information comes out.
